I think you are right. I'd have to wait a 3 months (one unit per month) to get the el-cheapo stuff. The others would delay me an additional 2 months.

you can search the you tube vids on these. The reason I like them is because you can use different controllers. You're not stuck to one brand.

Other then just cool to look at is there any perks to the "lightening storm". I see that being cool for about a day, then just being annoying with the random flashes

that is where the controller comes in...

you can schedule the lighting effects by day, month and year. With the controller you can also schedule your Alk / Cal dosing all from the PC or IPod... all your stats are viewable on the PC and you can say what when where things happen in the tank. That includes alerts like low water level and flooding. Crazy stuff!!!
