Thanks Xray!
I plumbed in a 'fuge, but I need a better filter[100GPH-currently] before I can turn on the pump tho[150GPH] otherwise it pumps it in faster then it can be pulled out, obviously....lol Now to work on the light for said fuge...
EDIT: PP here is the picture in PB:

Yeah, you need 1.5-2lbs LR/gal.

That stuff is sooooooo expensive[10$ for a small chunk], so I'm just slowly working at adding it.

You need some friends like I have... A fellow delivered 70lbs of nice sized pieces & took home about 6 frags for it. I've seen it as cheap as $1-3/lbs at my reef forum:

I'll have to check that forum out soon.
Here's the tank's condition as of yesterday :

And the new dwarf cerith snails:

Wow! It's been a while since I've updated this...lol
Tank doesn't look too much different in pictures so no FTSs.
Cheato is growing good[up to 3 masses of it]...lol Stocking list has changed...lighting has switch to 2 15W CF bulbs since this is basically just FOWLR ATM...oh...I also repaired the moonlight my cat destroyed...
The stocking list now is:
1x Ocellaris Clownfish
1x Firefish
1x Scarlet Reef Crab
2x Blue Leg Hermits
2x Astrea Snails... now these are funny...only things I've lost in this tank...have bought 4 total, original one is alive & fine, newest one is fine, one died from crawling out of the tank, & the other never opened...
2x Nassarius Snails -> almost lost 1...but he suddenly started doing fine again...
11x+ Dwarf Cerith Snails -> breeding...
Bristle Worms/Feather Dusters/Peanut Worms/other hitchhikers...
One last thing! The fish![and the annoyed cat behind the tank]:

I need to update this! I think it's DONE! Well...as far as rock goes...
http://i225.photobucket.com/albums/dd30 ... C02599.jpg
I've still got some other work to do on it such as scraping off the tube worms on the front glass & getting new equipment[heater, powerhead, filter, & light] and then getting the rest of the live stock[1 green clown goby, 3 sexy shrimp, 2-3 more nassarius snails, corals, & a "real" feather duster] and I'll be completely done!
The from there it's just random additions & I'll focus back on the FW tanks[which are fine, BTW]...

I would say more rock, the lbs per gallon rule can be deceiving, rock can vary drastically in density.
If you are adding the hermits just as clean up crew I would recommend against that. If you are adding them because you want them for aesthetic reasons, then go ahead, (they can be fun to watch), but they can also kill snails and other small beneficial life.

Correct me if I am wrong, but you are planning on using a skimmer right? That aquaclear, is going to be good for nothing than running carbon/phosphate remover.

I already have the 3 hermit crabs [1 scarlet reef/2 dwarf blue leg] that I got to be fun[they don't help that much with cleaning up algae anyways]...so that's unchangeable. I've heard they eat snails, but have yet to witness this as both astreas, both nassarius, & all 11 dwarf ceriths are still fine and going.

But definitely not going to add more unless these died[hopefully they won't..]
Anyways, the AC is exactly what you said it's for, tho...floss to polish the water when needed, carbon when needed, & phosphate remover when needed...other wise it'll just circulate water when none of that is needed[being useless except for adding flow to the tank]. I don't plan to have a skimmer & I'm not keeping/getting anything that I think would require one...no SPS corals, no real sensitive fish/inverts, etc.

Latest rock scape...
I like my tank except that it's still incomplete in most areas... :-/
I'm having better luck with SW then FW right now because all 6 new fish[4 green sailfin mollies/2 more hybrid swordplaties] arrived dead Saturday
and 2 of the 4 new RCS[1 was a berried female] died and then 1 of the blood red swordtails suddenly dropped dead in the 55gal. Even tho she was "sick" for a while, I wasn't expecting that...

I would stack those rocks so you see more cave-like openings for the fish to swim though. Also, don't be surprised if you see your snail's shells on the blue legged crabs backs. They're known snail killers for new houses.

Hmm...while I really like how the current rocks are positioned, I could definitely buy some more LR and make more caves. I know since I'll be wanting 3 gobies[the firefish, blue neon & green clown], they all need their hiding spots...
As for the hermit crabs, I'm not toooooo worried about them as they've shown no attempt to eat the snails yet and have plenty of other shells to choose from...but I'm definitely keeping an eye on everyone...

Just a few new pictures:
Here's my crazy little blue leg hermit crabs:
Here is Ember, as well - one of my better pictures of him:
Tank's condition hasn't changed, but it did move[now I need to get a background since it's only viewable from the front]!

I have a bad update for this tank...I bought a seemingly healthy green clown goby from [Petco since I have no LFSs available] a day ago and I looked in the rock I thought he was hiding under and he was dead...so I never got to enjoy him...

The person who bagged him wasn't as careful as I would have liked[I payed $10 I don't have[I have $6.3k mortgage bill out of NOWHERE pop up] for the freakin' thing so yeah, I can be b****y all I want] so I bet that contributed to his demise...
He was adorable and it really sucks he didn't make it...

I drip acclimated him but his colors were very light & he kept falling over...but even so he was looking better in the tank...
Anyways, The tank isn't much different besides coralline algae taking over the glass[finally] and the LR...it's kinda scheduled for a redo since I want a deeper sand bed & some Tongan/branchy LR to add into the already existing Caribbean rock...
