Are these guys fully mature? how big are they?

These guys just keep getting cuter. I hope you have a pair.

My guess is the bigger is an adult and the little one still juvenile. They max out just under 4 inches from what I gather.

Still trying to find more info on sexing this species. And no....I havent decided on names yet.

If i see anything good i'll let you know. Going to play it cool with the names .... okay. Im not to happy with the "King" at the moment either.

Yay, I found out how to sex them. Its not the same as the beardeds. Its the girth of the base of the tail. Big tail base= male. Thin= female. I have one of each. You can easily see the difference if you look through the pics I posted. Little one is a male, big one is female.

Jose - loved your photos and videos, you've really got some good shots. I also want to say that you sound like you've got everything going the right way, and I was only reminding you to mist so your babies didn't dry out. I do not think you're incompetent and am not worrying, as you seem to have things well in hand. I suspect you will be a very good pygmy keeper and look forward to hearing how they are getting along in the future.

Squeeeeeeeeeeeal!!! She just dug a hole and I'm 99% sure she is laying eggs as I type this. I am soooooooo not ready for this. Who knew she was already knocked up?

See, aren't you glad you added that extra substrate?! Well good thing is that you've got some time to prepare. I've read that it can take up to 80 days for the eggs to hatch -- so you've got plenty of time to learn what to do. I would think the most difficult part would be getting food small enough for the babies when they hatch.

I think you are very fortunate to be experiencing her laying eggs so soon. That's excellent!!

btw, its good to spray their bodies down (with hot water) once in a while because one way they hydrate themselves is by absorbing moistrue through their skin.... they may not get too excited about it, but do they really get excited about much of anything?? lol.

Yeah I gave mine a good spraying this morning even though Kitty clearly doesn't like it. Afterwards she went up and I watched her climb to the top, then climb onto the screen mesh and hang upside down. It was cool watching how she gets up there. She was quicker than I thought she would be as well. I think she intended to dry off under the lamp.

They are getting plenty of water. Terra still had droplets in a few places from last night. Nice and humid. I still spray a bit on them from time to time without hosing down the whole terra.

They can carry the sperm of a male for up to three months! I'm gonna venture they were fertilized but of course I dont know for sure.

I've read they will eat the pinhead crickets and better yet, flightless fruit fies. I have found both in my area. Nonetheless, this is gonna worry me to no end.
