Well in my case I had a tumour the size of a rugby ball, which was attached to my uterus, ovary and tube, so they had to make a rather large incision. Yours, if you have it done, won't be nearly as dramatic. You'll be fine.

Re: What happened to you today :)
Well, if it comes to that - you can always consider having your eggs frozen. Down the line, if you decide to start a family, you can get a surrogate mom. I've had a couple friends who had their works removed(one had uterine cancer, one had severe endimetriosis or however it's spelled) and I told them both that if they needed me to, I would do it for them. Giving the gift of a child - their own child - to them, letting them experience every little thing... at least, as close as I can let them experience it.
There are always options, as long as you are healthy! It might not hurt, if it comes down to it that is - to save them just in case. That is, IF you have to go to that extent. (hopefully not!)
Glad to hear you stayed strong through the procedure, and came out alright. It's alright to cry, I'm sure I'd have been a wreck...

Re: What happened to you today :)
Thanks
I'm sure I'll be fine, it's nice that you'd be a surrogate for your friends.. very sweet.
I don't really have girl mates anymore & even the ones I had would never of done that haha.
If it came to it, I probably would get eggs frozen
, I'm just hoping it's nothing big like that... could be a small cyst that doesn't even need removing.
I'm not that worried anymore, was just the camera which was freaking me out because I was awake for it.
It's funny how I'm talking about really grose things on here like my ovaries and eggs xD
sorry.

Girl, ovaries and eggs aren't gross
Glad it went alright and you made it through in one piece
If you do have to get both removed adoption isn't a bad option
I've got endo. So far this treatment is doing well but if it doesn't I'm getting my uterus removed. I have no desire to ever have biological kids (and that will never ever change) so I'm not attached to it in any way. All it causes is trouble and pain. Oh the pain it causes...

It is absurd to talk of one animal being higher than another. We consider those, when the cerebral structure/intellectual faculties most developed, as highest. A bee doubtless would when the instincts were.

Re: What happened to you today :)
hmm, sounds like what my one friend is going through. She said that at the end of this month, she is ending treatments so she can try to have a child - the treatments prevent her from becoming pregnant. She said something about if it becomes too painful for her, or it doesn't happen within a certain amount of time; they're going to end that idea and just get it all removed.
Glad to hear you have a positive outlook on the situation, though! Like you said, it's probably nothing that major - and you will be fine with lesser courses of action. It's alright to think about all possible avenues though, so it doesn't railroad you *just in case*.
I'm sure you'll be doing great though!

Yesterday, i bought an installed a window airconditioner- including finding and cutting wood for shims- and finding the tools. Took 2 1/2 hours all told. Then i went picture-taking with my ex boyfriend.

We slept in late, I made bacon eggs and toast for breakfast (extra bacon for daddy) then we went golfing at an EXPENSIVE course, and I golfed too! Now; BBQ'n cheeseburgers, makin fries and making deviled eggs
maybe a salad too!

Re: What happened to you today :)
We came back from a horse show to find our large angel dead. We have no idea why and are really crushed about it. Our best guess is low oxygen and I'm testing the water now. The fish were gasping a bit this morning so we left the lights off and put the bubbler on. Get back from the show and he's in the back of the tank dead
He was perfectly fine yesterday and he was well and eating this morning (he's been doing amazingly these past few weeks). All others are acting normally and look completely healthy. So frustrating. Of all fish to lose we lose our breeding male who also happens to be our favourite fish.

Re: What happened to you today :)
Aww sorry Flutter
that sucks!
Today I went to hospital for my CT scan.. I wasn't worried at all until I went in and they told me I needed a IV thing!!!!!
I freakin hate drips..
So I told him to be careful because the last nurse who did it went through my vein and it swelled like a golf ball and my whole arm was black..
ten seconds later and he goes "wow that was tricky it went through your vein"...
... seriously?!
How hard is it to put a needle into a vein when you've been working at hospital for years.
They put some dye in it (which made me all hot and my throat went funny) and then scanned me and made me stay for 30 mins incase I had a reaction that was it.
Anyway, now I have to wait for a letter for another appointment to see what I've got.

Re: What happened to you today :)
Well at least the worst is over Tigerlilly, and hopefully you won't have anything to worry about from here on out. Just think positively about it all and try not to fret.
I know what you mean about getting injections, etc., I've had my vein blown too, not a nice experience.
Not alot happening with me. I cleaned my crab/shrimp tank today to find that my two red crabs had killed their tankmate, smelled horrible. And I have a feeling now that there's only 2, that soon there will be only one! I cannot seem to keep more than one long-term no matter how I try to do it!
I got two more of the sulawesi snails today, which I think are very cool.

Re: What happened to you today :)
Having to take Duke my puppy of 7 months to the vet again.. he got fixed on thursday (poor little guy)
and he's been recovering well, everything seems to be fine, except he is peeing blood
It started to happen friday night, very light pinkish colour, then it was off and on on saturday, and sunday to now it has been almost pure blood
My poor baby! Called the vet and she said as long as he isn't crying when he goes pee, or acting any different it shouldn't be a big deal.. he has been acting just normal, barking away telling us stories, and playing as much as always. So hopefully it is something minor ... we'll see after I get off work today!
