Oh wow! I see that this thread is has became popular. Thats too cool. Well I will got ahead and update. Mine has been running strong and keeping the water clean and clear. GREAT canister filter's! On a budget then look no more for a high priced canister. These does the job at half the price. Nothing wrong buyin the higher priced canister's either though.

Sorry for postin this up again. But not sure anyone is still talking about these canister filters. I have been readin rest of this post and noticed the there is a big debate on sunsun's and eheim cansters. There are other good canister's out there that are extremely well built like Marineland C-series and Fluval (mainly fx5). If I get the money, I might get a Marineland C-530 or a fx5. They are well built canister's that moves alot of water and extra filtering also. I have seen them around $200 online. Btw, you can always buy stronger hoses, clamps, spray bars, inlet tubes and strainers to add on to your SUNSUN. But I still use the ones that came with mine except for one clamp nut that cracked when I was tightening it. I just took it off and added a hose clamped insead, no biggy...

. This the only bad thing about these canister filter (SUNSUN), the cheap flimsy plastic hook ons. But other then that, they are well made.

Yep I will agree with you there...lol But the canister itself is tuff and well made. I have heard more good thing's about these canister filter's in other forums then I have heard about ehiems and Fluvals. Not puttin those 2 brands down but I have heard alot of good and bad stuff about both. Other then ehiem's high high price here in the States. One reason I never bought one. If ehiem dropped the price down to a more reasonable price then I probley would had bought one and tryed it out for myself...lol. But when it comes to price, none better then a SUNSUN...lol

I have to disagree, I will stick to eheim going forward. The overall build is worth the pennies. I will not expect to be using my sun sun in ten years, but will be using my eheims for 30 or more

Well if you already have eheims and such. Then that would be my 1st choice. Use em if you already got em

. Just over priced filters for my pockets, thats all....lol.

I know, alot of money for output etc. Longterm they work out a lot cheaper, very energy efficient and rarely break. Over 20 years work out cheaper than sun sun - much cheaper. Plus sun sun don't give nearly enough media to fill their canisters grr. By the time I had mine going, changed bits and added media I was seriously annoyed, it works well and is good for the price but wish I was aware of how much work and parts before buying.
