For all who are interested in what's happening with BeeBoo ....
Since feeding him quite alot of earthworms the past few days (which he is absolutely loving), I thought I would feed shrimp tonight. I didn't expect BeeBoo to eat it because he hasn't shown any interest in eating it in over a week or more. So I basically put it in for the other puffers that are in that tank, and surprise, surprise! BeeBoo came up and gobbled a bunch of shrimp down. I thought maybe once he realised what it was that he would spit it out, but he didn't. In fact, he ate even more when I put more in the tank.
I've been so happy this week with him eating snails, earthworms and now the shrimp. He's been having brown poops too, so that's good to see as well. I am not going to fool myself into thinking that he's over the IP issue, but at least things are improving somewhat. I still need to find the Jungle fizz tabs because I've decided that I am going to use them to put into his food and maybe I can prevent the death of my special snails and the aquatic crab that's in that tank. I also have more of the fizz tabs on order from America, but with Christmas and Royal Mail being less than good at what they do, I figure it will be a long time before they are here. I know I have some of the fizz tabs in this house, just a matter of finding them. And that will be my next project, to soak some of his food in the Jungle tabs and then see if I can get him to eat the saturated food. But I think we're definitely going in the right direction as he's looking good and his activity level is increasing as well. Tonight, as I was cutting up the shrimp on the plate in front of the tank, I could see him positioning himself so that he could see what I was doing, and he seemed to get very excited by it as well. That's the sort of puffer stuff I enjoy!

So things are looking up! :D

I believe that Orangey is slowly, but surely, eating the Endlers that are in the tank with him. I tried the earthworms several times, but he will not eat them. Couldn't care less about them in fact. However, my Baileyi and my little suvattii just love them, will come right up to the surface when they see me putting one into the tank. So that's been interesting.
But at least Orangey is eating something and that's what counts. He is still looking a little thinner than I'd prefer, but at least he's alive and doesn't appear to have any IP problems, so that's great. Maybe things will change in the future and he will start eating other foods. He probably hasn't been in captivity very long because the LFS where I got him had only had him for a week before I got him. So he's probably still settling in.

Thank you for asking eieio. :)

That's a relief Su, I'm happy to hear that your puff is doing well. Did you use any of that medicine that you got from Poland?

To be honest Raffie, I've not used ANY of the meds yet, and that's only because I didn't want to add the medications to my tank water, due to the chance that it would kill my snails and crab, so I've just been waiting for some hypodermic needles to come so I can inject the meds into food. I just got them today (thanks to Mr Soggy) ... so I should be doing the meds tomorrow hopefully.

Thank you for your concern. :D

So tell me more about these "special" snails?

They are just nerite snails(all different ones, the horny ones, the stripey ones, etc.)that I've bought here and there, but they aren't cheap and they are pretty, the puffers don't mess with them, and they don't proliferate into umteem millions, so I'd like to keep them living. :)
