Make him take you today! Get a 1" hose about 4' long. Sucking on a syphon takes practice, so you don't swallow fish water, so practie on a bucket of tap water from your sink, dumping it into a bucket on the floor. If you have a basement do it down there, so if you spill you won't get it all over the kitchen.

Yes, it does take practice! The first time I did it, a mouthful of icky-ucky-blucky water, and probably a generous amout of fish poo, too.

I tried it once, but failed. It took so long to get the skiis on we decided to go tubing instead. This water was fairly clean, but I had some fish bump into me. Ugh.
