hi Jamie, ive just found this forum and this is my 1st post, sorry to hear about your puffer, its a sad thing for anyone to loose any pet.

hop you dont mind me asking but I wondered if you could give me some information on the Arothon nigrapunctas ?

im currently waiting for my 6x2x2 custom tank to be delivered in two weeks time, its my 1st marine tank and im intending on keeping just a puffer and a lionfish.

I had decided to get a dogface puffer but then saw the negrapunctas on a forum somewhere and started to look it up, strange thing is that the only one ive seen like it in the shops is just called a Dogface puffer, Ive never seen a puffer for sale in the shops called a negrapunctas.

is the Negrapunctas known as anything else ?

am I correct that the negrapunctas grows to around 14" in lengh ?

anything else you might be able to tell me would be of graet help to me.

What kind of fish is that that your puffer likes? He is very interesting looking!

On a further note im glad your puffer is doing better again. He looks amazing.

late answer i don't like it when i have to tel my story in bad english
uuhm, i don't know how you say it but that fish is a kind of a lionfish.
he is called the ablabys taenianotus. but he died a month ago
and yes i recently set the tank up at that moment.
a few weeks ago i had a problem with my water. it was totaly green!
so i bought a UV-light and now look at the result! tis is a picture from 6 days.

and about the arothron nigropunctatus, its a very nice fish.
he is very kind to all the other fishes in the tank
i know he grows to 33 cm. ( i don't know how much '')
and he is just called the arothron nigropunctatus or dogfaced puffer.
it's a great puffer to have in your tank

he is 12 cm now.
i bought him when he was 5 or 6 cm?

and he didn't eat the starfish. he just looked at it like ''whooooh what's that!!''
