I'm going to try to avoid that. Like I said, I'm going to put my sailfin in QT at the same time I put my puffer in the 125g so hopefuly they puffer will be well used to his new tank by the time the sailfin comes back in.

Ok long time since I've been on here, just an update. Well my porcupine puffer is doing great. It sits at the top of tank waiting for me to fed, even if it's not feeding time. It'll follow my finger around the tank, and I see why some call it a dog.

But some things have come up, and I won't be able to keep a large tank and I'm going to have to get rid of my 125g and it's inhabitants. Hopefuly later down things will work out where I can keep a larger tank, but right now I'm going to be forced to stick with nano reefs, which isn't all bad. But I'm defenitly going to miss my puffer. Thanks everyone again for helping me when my puffer was sick.

I see live rock in your QT. What are you going to do with it? Won't it have absorded the stuff you treated the puffer with? I could be wrong, but I would check with someone more knowledgeable about keeping porous items in your QT.

Your right, it would absorb meds and everything and release them at any given time.

Going to keep it. There's sand and lots of rock in there now. It's been a month since any fish have been in there, and it's probably going to be another month before I get anything. In that time I've been/going to be doing water changes. Not too worried about it.
