Let him grow. Adults are much easier to tell apart. Care for them is similar anyway, so the name is not that important.

The target puffer group needs revision. Without revision it will not be possible to make id keys for this group. There is a key on this group in the aqualog by ebert, but I do not think it is very reliable, since the knowledge requiered seems not to be avaiable, yet.

About turgidus: The diagnosis by kottelat states that this species never has an ocellus, but some turgidus pictures send to ebert by kottelat himself show a large colored spot. The diagnosis of turgidus seems incomplete anyway, although the work of kottelat is superb in general.

About cochinchinensis: Although the first pictures looked as if it could be this species the newer pictures show a snout which is too long for a cochinchinensis (thread page 2, first picture), which is differentiated from the other species by its short snout.

Maybe someone can tell me what he is? ;P

This is the first time I've seen this thread, and the first thing I thought when I saw the picture was Abei.

Whatever he or she is, they certainly are beautiful. I wish I'd been able to pick up an Abei when I had the chance. Their colour changing ways are truly amazing.

My vote is turgidus, as between Kugelkat and me, we have two specimens.
I must say, however, that I've not had experience either with T. abei or T. cochinchinesis specimens.
