His color has lightened, his belly his mostly white and he is greener, but it doesn't seem like a good thing. I think he is dying. I'm not gonna move him to the hospital tank. I don't think it will help. I added the melaflix. He is swimming in an odd manner and bumping into everything. The left gill looks the same swollen and red. I don't know what to do.

Ick is a gill problem...just keep fighting. Sometimes with puffers you can do everything....and it still end in disaster. These are wild caught fish....sometimes they just can't handle being captivity and they can't handle shipping.

GSPs have a HIGH mortality rate, especially ones from Wal-Mart. They are just so mistreated.

I hope this experience has not turned you off of puffers.

Start adding Melfaix for the redness.

Thank you everyone for your help. He died early this morning between 4 and 8. I'm very upset by this whole experience. I really wanted to save him. I'm sure my first problem was getting him from Walmart.

Sorry you lost him, try a healthy one from a decent shop and it is bound to be less stressful for you.
