I also think you should consider getting a larger tank. If they are as active as you described, then plenty of swimming room would be nice. IMO treat them as if they were GSP and give 30g per toadfish.

fair enough, unfortunatly a larger tank isnt an option, honestly based on my experiance i think they will be fine in the 55 but if problems arise then ill sort em out then, i think the activity level may be higher then usual atm due to the move, the next few weeks will tell

You are correct. Time will tell. Prettty puffer i hope theh make many pretty babies. Highly unlikely but they are flowers

well i may try breeding em after some tme but ill document that, i know they move inland into low sg water to spawn. oh also i thought i would add that 15cm is the largest thease guys have been seen but they more commonly reach 10-13cm and im just having a ahard time getting my head around the idea that you guys think that 3 4-5" fish in a 55 is to much. but hey you guys are the experts. ill keep notes.

Puffers have a heavy bio load. thats why 3 4-5" puffers is a bad idea.
plus they are messy eaters, so if you dont clean up after them thats extra load on your filters(or LR).

Hey champ i have kept messy eaters such as oscars, turtles, barras, jd i asking if
if anyone with experiance with puffers who prefer to be in groups to chime in. honestly ill keep an eye on test results rather then random rules of thumb. however if someone has legitiment reasoning id love to hear from you but atm i think they are still just geting situated
