Salmon,
You can check glasscages.com for acrylic sheets. They are available on eBay as well, but if you don't want to cut them precisely yourself, glasscages does a good job with the cuts and sells acrylic cements as well. Up to 14" tall tanks need 1/4" thickness. 14"-20" needs 3/8", and 20"-24" needs 1/2" thickness. Also, aquarium acrylic is different from normal acrylic sheets you might get for a display box or something. Make sure whatever you are getting is "cell-cast", or else your tank will warp and break.

I made a 30 gallon out of acrylic last year, but it was a huge project, I made a lot of mistakes that I had to go back and fix, and I probably wouldn't do it again lol, but it was worth the fun.

Its extremely difficult to get a razor blade between the broken side and the sides its sealed on. Gonna have to find a trick to doing it.

Just stick with it and you'll get there. I personally am too impatient and grumpy to repair now. If it breaks i give it away lol. I wish i had time for big projects.

is it that tight of a fit, or just an odd angle? Maybe heat up the silicone with a hair dryer or something like that

I can't get the broken panel out. I'm thinking of buying a 1/2 inch thick piece of safety glass to adhere to the inside of the broken panel and putting loads of silicone on it to keep sealed and sturdy. Any opinions on my idea would be appreciated. =]

Sadly, if it costs any more than 50$ to get a piece of replacement glass, i'm just going to buy a new tank from PetCo since they have that 1$ per gallon deal going. =/

I got a 75 gallon at Petco for $75, so maybe the managers decide? It was an awesome deal.
