Should i get my GSP another GSP buddy?

its recommended to have 10x the gallons of the tank for flow.

Right now he has the Eclipse hood filtration, it has two off shoots that rotate independently so I can change the course of flow periodically.
In his new tank that is being set up, a custom size 55, I will have a HOB skimmer with a power head, probably a maxi jet 1200 since I already have a couple extra ones, that is if it's better than what the skimmer comes with. And I also have a Koralia 750 circulation pump. I asked if that would be sufficient flow when I bought it, or if it would just keep shooting him across the tank, but I never got an answer. I am just going to hope it will be sufficient. I don't know of a way to calculate how much flow for what size of tank. Too many variables, different GPH for the pumps, gallons in the tank, size of tank, what kind of flow the inhabitants can handle, etc.
Perhaps someone else can answer that.
