i put my mom on the chat with some people on here to have them explain to her and she said dont worry about it well get a biger tank as he grows

He needs it now, though. He won't live long enough to grow otherwise.

Where are you located maybe we can pull some strings and help you find someone that is willing to donate a tank. Its a long shot but worth the effort and im willing to help you out with it. Im sure if you have a local reef club that has compasionate fish keepers someone would read this thread and give a helping hand to a young new hobbiest.

Wow, there is nothing but wide open space around you. I checked Craigslist in your area and there are only 2 listings for aquariums but they are large tanks. You could put a "wanted" ad on craigslist for an aquarium and someone may have one to sale cheap or possibly give to you.

Hahahaha, I did too. 50 gallon for $150, only if he threw in the sofa & table/chairs.

It looks like are a few pet stores in that town also.

You could get one of those 29 gallon kits (tank, hood, light & heater) for around $100 so anything less than that from Craigslist would be that much better.

I have looked into a couple reef clubs but not sure if they are still active. One is Wyoming Reef Club and the other is Big Country Reef Society. One member is actually in the same town as you but has not posted in a couple years. I posted a link to this thread at thereeftank.com since thats where I found one of those clubs. Like a said its a long shot especially since most of your state seems like its protected natural forest and such. Your really in wide open country out there.

If by some chance I do get some sort of contact It must go through your parents. Please keep them envolved with you on this thread so they dont freak out. I know how most parents would react if they were blinde sided with someone wanting to help there kid out on the enternet.

Too bad you're not near me.. I could hook you up with a tank very quickly.

Craigslist is a good start. Some shops have a $1 / gallon sale once in a while. The "as it grows" won't work These are not diapers for babies with different sizes or hand me down clothes.

Hunt the classifieds section in the news paper and also garage sales in the news paper.. if you have them check the local auctions. Spend about 1/2 hour a day looking for that tank. You'll find it. Hopefully sooner than later
