Aquatraders are known for horrible customer service. They are located in the bay area near me, many people in the reef club refuse to spend one cent there. They are horribly rude if you dont speak chinese and the live stock is unhealthy. I read posts on reefcentral about them refusing to replace bulbs that are broken during shipping and not responding to emails or phone calls.

Odyssea fixtures are also know for the very cheap build and are not UL listed. There are a number of cases which people have posted where the metal halide ballast has caught fire.

Personally I would find a different vendor and brand, you get what you pay for.

You might find a good deal on a used one.

I came to the same conclusion when i purchased my CurrentUSA fixture. Yellowpages.com has some horrible reviews on aquatraders local business. They seem to be the only ones selling Oddysea and i believe everything on ebay is thru them as well. Not under the same company name but if you look where they are shipping from, i think you will find them to be the same. About them not being UL listed. If an electronic ballast, being an electrical appliance, is not UL listed, many if not all homeowners insurances will not pay claims on damages to your home. Read your fine print carefully.
