If he was only that skinny because of proper feeding, I'd say the supplier gets an F in my book. Also, I'd give him an F for selling a sick fish with IPs, without making him healthy 1st, before posting it up FS.

Bloat looks really good now, love seeing that little fat belly, good sign. Glad to hear that he's settling in so nicely, your pics are great. :)

Bloat is looking like a totally different little fahaka! Amazing!

Curious: How long does he hold that little potbelly for? Does it dissipate quickly, or does it stick around?

he CAN jump. Mine has lunged out to try and get my finger; it's possible. If you can, do you have a large piece of cardboard or something to just cover the space?

Fahaka's are DEFINITE jumpers. We are good friends with a man who owns an LFS and he had a fairly big lineatus (about 8-10") and because they didn't have a sufficient lid on the tank he was in, when they came in the next morning, it was lying dead on the floor because it had jumped out during the night and no one there to put it back in. Sad way to go. :(

I would make sure you've got something over your tank to prevent yours from jumping out, especially if you aren't home for long periods of time. :)

he's a cutie.

Ditto on the lid. Especially when they get bigger, a nice heavy top will also prevent a lot of evap.

Sorry about the background noise. The bubble sounds i from being in the chat room on here lol
I found it funny watching the ghost shrimp going after the shrimp I was trying to feed Bloat. Shortly after this video stopped so did Bloat, he just ignored it and started looking for snails

ahhh Look at him eat! hehe... I think the ghost shrimp were a distraction, seems as though he was enjoying that skewered shrimp until live stuff snuck up. :) I'm so excited that he is finally in good hands!
