If I plug it from the inside how would I oversize it? I was just going to get a threaded plug to fit the hole as I didn't see anything else that would work..

you'll end up buying a few different sizes to see what works. I went undersized and added plumbers tape to it. But different strokes for different folks. You are still going to need the same materials.

Ahh, ok, so you're going to trust the seal between his plugs and the glass. If so, then yes, get the exact size, wrap the plug with several layers of Teflon tape, then screw it in with a big pair of pliers. You shouldn't use silicone or other adhesive if you do that. If the seals are good, this saves effort, because all you have to do is replace the plugs with screens when you go to a sump system, rather than scrape off the silicone holding a greatly oversized plug over his entire effort.

To do an oversize cover plug, get any plug that will fit entirely over his when attached from the inside, and silicone in place. Has the advantage of zero leak risk from any poor work he did, but when you want to install the sump, you will have scrape off the entire thing including your silicone.

This is the only thing I found that looked like it would work. If there's something else I should be using then link me to it O__O

Looks like a standard threaded internal plug. There are external plugs(I think they call them "caps") meant to fit onto the outside of threaded pipes, those are what you should use if you wish to pursue the second option I explained and entirely cover up the previous owners attempts.

I decided to order the plugs I posted the picture of... we'll see how it goes.

I had to move all the little puffers and mollies to the 60 gallon so big puffers are going to be stuck in a 20 gallon for a day or two until I can rearrange things. I put the Aqua Clear 110 filter on it though, so it should stay nice and clean in the meantime. :/

Still no word on where the big puffers are.. normally when I get fish shipped it comes around this time. There's still two hours before I need to start worrying though..

Big Puffers did not come yesterday and were lost in transit for a while. But they were checked into the Rockdord, IL sorting facility at 1:51am. Now I have to wait for them to get to the actual Post Office and I can go pick them up. I hope they're all right :[ stupid Postal Service.

I found the caps I needed for the tank finally. I put them in with plumbers tape and then did a test fill, it started leaking so I had to empty it all out and silicone around the area. I let that dry overnight, and I'll start filling it again soon.

Better to ship FedEx but they've lost my corals before.

It is absurd to talk of one animal being higher than another. We consider those, when the cerebral structure/intellectual faculties most developed, as highest. A bee doubtless would when the instincts were.

I've never lost a fish shipping with the postal service before, so I didn't think there'd be any problems. ugh. If I had known I would have driven to CT to pick them up myself.
The box was really beat up.. those poor fish. :( It's so heart breaking.
I'm not sure what to do with the bodies though.. I'd feel bad just throwing them in the trash. I might bury them in the backyard or something a little more honorable...

I've also found the postal service more often on time than the companies, but they BLEW this one. I've been heartbroken all day :( How could they just leave them on a truck for nearly 30 hours?
