It must have been the gold-crusted krill.

Speaking of which, my puffers never did like krill when I tried it last year, but maybe I need to try it again and see what they think, although I am not sure if that's a good idea or not because I hear talk of "lock-jaw".

i thought lock jaw only happened if you fed exclusively krill. ill check on it, i dont want to keep feeding them if its bad for him.... it would be hard to stop though, he goes nuts for them, even if he sees the package across the room hes right up at the front of the tank

It was the stuff in the flat package, and I did read the right price, 18.99 :P I will have to look around see if I can find it cheaper.

The pieces of krill are quite small, maybe the size of your thumb nail it's like a mini shrimp, but it comes in a flat package and they are all frozen together, you can break pieces off much larger than your thumb nail if needed. Not all the pieces of krill are whole, it's like bits and pieces frozen.... if that makes sense! lol You can also buy frozen krill in cube form

I get the cubes for $5. The flat-packs are definitely more expensive - they hold much more food. In terms of weight, they're a way better deal.

Recall the face of the poorest and the weakest man whom you may have seen, and ask yourself, if the step you contemplate is going to be of any use to him or her. Will she gain anything by it? Will it restore her to a control over her own life and destiny? In other words, will it lead to freedom for the hungry and spiritually starving millions? Then you will find your doubts and your self melt away."

Thanks Lisa! I picked up some krill and mysis shrimp. Trying the krill out for the first time tonight. If the puffers don't eat it then hopefully the cories will.
It is absurd to talk of one animal being higher than another. We consider those, when the cerebral structure/intellectual faculties most developed, as highest. A bee doubtless would when the instincts were.
