My first puffer! Advice respectfully sought!
Re: My first puffer! Advice respectfully sought!
Yep, I'm 99% sure I've seen habitrail available over here.
Re: My first puffer! Advice respectfully sought!
I bought Bommy a Habitrail U-shaped tunnel today and he's loving it! Gave it a few suspicious nips then swam right through - thanks for the tip off guys
I also asked if I could buy some of the baby snails crawling round the tanks at the the LFS. They've said I can take as many as I like, as often as I like, for free!
Just pests to them so they're happy for me to take them off their hands - yay! Popped two in the tank when I got home. Bommy didn't seem that interested initially - but one of them has vanished now, and I've seen him bothering the other. I don't think he's especially hungry at the moment, which might be why he didn't go too crazy over them, so we'll give him a day off food tomorrow (he's been pigging out all week!) and then try him with another couple of snails on Monday...

Re: My first puffer! Advice respectfully sought!
I bought it from the same garden centre that we got our puffer from - http://www.priorparkgardencentre.co.uk/
I've seen single tubes for extending cages for sale in other local pet shops too. Looks like you can buy online here if all else fails http://www.petplanet.co.uk/category.asp?dept_id=147 - highly recommend it, as I said - Bommy's having a great time with his
(PS - snail number two is now also missing in action!)

Re: My first puffer! Advice respectfully sought!
Hi, everyone! Great thread. I have my first GSP, also an only-child puff, and wonder what toys I can give him. Love the ping-pong ball and Habitrial tube ideas, and read in another thread about a cat toy with the bell removed. Anyone else had success with other things? Even "outside the tank" entertainment? Thought about putting a lava lamp near the tank so he could watch the bubbling lava...

Didn't mean to hijack the thread... my apologies. I did a keyword search on the site and found some answers.
