well, today's report is a few steps in the right direction!
with the congo puffers, don't give up on the earthworms
"lurkers" generally like them, and they are typical of the food that they might encounter in nature, being bottom dwellers
they may not recognize them as food yet
a little garlic extract might encourage them also
"ollie" loves earthworms!

My Congo would eat 3 at a time (just so you know lurkers do eat them). I'd be feeding those endlers, just in case he is eating them.

Oh I always feed my Endlers. Just because they are intended as food for my piscivores I don't stop taking care of them. I don't know if it makes any difference or not, but the tank I get my Endlers out of now has a UV clarifier on it. Not sure if that helps the fish or the water, it's something our newest filter has on it, but I didn't buy the filter for that, I got the filter for the ability for it to handle the big tank it's in.

How do you breed your Endlers Suzanne?

Well, the UV will help guarantee parasite-free fish (at least external ones). I was more referring to gut-loading them for your puffer's enhancement.

Get yourself a female and a couple of males .... and that's it, you are on your way to having more guppies than you can shake a stick at! If I didn't have fish to eat them, they would over-run my tank. I used to have them in with my Cutcutia, but they actually were over-taking the food and the poor Cutcutia puffer wasn't getting much, so I moved them to my community tank, and they are just breeding up a storm now!

PP: Can you give me some good ideas of what to feed the Endlers that would enhance my piscivore puffers upon eating them? Right now I only feed them bloodworm and flake food.

You might want to add algae flakes, so your puffers get their veggies or soak the bloodworms in vitamins.

I saw a post on a different thread saying that feeding vitamins to shrimp/feeder fish was a bit pointless, since they digest the vitamins and break them down before it can really go to the puffer? I think Dadof4 posted it (not to put words in his mouth!!) I need to go find where I found it...

I actually remember something about that too .....

Well I already soak my bloodworms in vitamins, but will have to see about getting some algae flakes. The food I feed my Endlers (and my other community fish are the Tetra Colour bits (they are a bit more than flakes, but on the same idea).

You're still feeding them healthier fish! You can always gut-load them right before you feed them out.

I went and got more earthworms today, a big tub, and I had such a fun time watching the puffers and mudskippers eating them.
My little suvatii ate 2 of them, sucked them right down, and even my Baileyi ate 3 of them. So yes, it does appear that the lurkers do like them, however .... still can't get either of my Congo's to eat them, nor my Palembang. The Cutcutia's don't seem very keen on them either, but my Ceylon's absolutely love them!

So I guess earthworms are going to be on the menu regularly now.

I'm going to try to find those Jungle fizz tabs tomorrow and see about soaking the worms in them so to possibly help BeeBoo. His colouring is still not looking right, but he's having more normal poops now. I just want him to be okay, and I'm afraid if I assume that he is alright, and he isn't, that he will end up dying as my other suvattii did.

Add flakes or crushed F-D plankton into the worm's tub to gut-load them.

You could gut-load them with antiparasite food. They sell pellets over here.
