Just installed a proper light setup for my tank. 2 24w 1200k daylights, 2 24w True actinics and LED moonlights. I'm surper excited! Now I can actually start putting some corals in it.
As such, I move my Kenya tree to the bottom 1/3 of the tank, and my mushrooms to the very bottom.
I also moved my old light to the bottom to light up the sump better (it had a small light before).
Anyone wanna donate some beginner frags???

Haha, yea I probably stole this pic from there. I don't actually own a chameleon myself. I just think they're neat. Plus I never have gotten a really good shot of my puffers.

Kilofey, I know nothing about chameleons .... is there actually a mini-size like in Rob's avatar? I think it would be awesome to own something so cute and so tiny like that. I bet they would be very pricey if they can be found.
I have always liked how they walk though, very comical.

they arent very expensive maybe like 30 bucks. i LOVE them but i enjoy my veiled cham's colors. pygmy's are typically brownish. a veiled and a panther chameleon have the best colors in my opinion
heres a very reputable site where u can buy some (or just look at their cuteness) lots of cham enthusiasts buy from this site

PS- his avatar is on this site lol

You know, I think I am going to see if I can find one of those here in the UK, I'd love to have something that adorable, it really doesn't look real!
Thanks kilofey!

sure, no problem... you may want to go to chameleonforums.com you can learn a lot of cool stuff about them there
heres a link to the pygmy section
http://www.chameleonforums.com/pygmy-enclosures/
and the other link i posted is a good place to buy them if you cant find one in the UK cause chameleons in general are hard to find not to mention itty bitty ones lol. the enclosure will be much cheaper for u since you will need the smallest one you can find... mine is 5 feet tall, 3 feet wide and 2 feet deep! talk about big cage lol. if im not mistaken, i think you can house more than one together, but with the bigger species, they like to live alone.

Thank you again, I think I will join that forum, maybe someone here in the UK can direct me to where I might find one of those pygmy cuties. I've always liked small things, I've had a miniature horse, and had 2 very cute and really cool pygmy goats before I moved to England.

they arent very expensive. since they dont require much room, id get a few of them, like 1 male and 2 females will fit comfortably in a 18"x18"x24" enclosure then you may get babies! it would almost be a waste of space to get just one. the more the marrier. anyway, hope to see you overthere PPG, my name on there is PicassoTheVeiled PM me when u get an account!
okay, sorry. this thread has been seriously hijacked

All I remember, is that the avatar is of a baby chameleon. Don't remember the kind or whatnot.

That's okay, I found a website that actually deals in these little guys, here in the UK, and I've been put on a list for when they come in. I didn't know there were so many different kinds of pygmy chameleons.

So, another update...
I picked up 2 Emerald crabs, and 2 peppermint shrimp for my tank.
I've also added some Chaeto to the sump, and I went and picked up two pieces of LR with some sort of Polyps on them.
Here's hoping it keeps going well!

I took a few pics.
The tank a couple of weeks ago.
The tank, now.
What I've decided is Anthellia with a new Emerald Crab and new polyps above it.
The new colony of what I think may be blue Xenia growing on an old snail shell (There was blue Xenia in the tank it came from).
My little red Mushroom, with a couple of tube worms visible.
My Kenya tree.
Another pic of the new polyps and the emerald crab. Any idea on the type of Polyp?
A slightly blurry pic of the 2nd piece of rock with polyps. Any clue on these?
What I believe are the arms of a small brittle starfish.

So, I was looking at the tank today, and I've decided that this is an anemone. From a quick search online, I'm thinking it's a majano anemone. Anyone able to tell from this pic? I'll try to take some more tomorrow...
