If I buy some liquid vitamins tomorrow would soaking the bloodworm in them be enough to get it into his system?

I can also treat the tank with ther vitamins

I just saw him doing a poo and it looked normal?!

I double checked to make sure it wasn't a bloodworm stuck underneath him and it def wasn't as he had a little speed round the tank and it didn't fall off

He's still only swimming on the bottom of the tank at athe mo

That's great. Yes, soaking the bloodworms ought to be fine, especially if you leave them in it overnight in the fridge.

I'd be at the bottom of the tank, too! I bet he's exhausted. That's all great news. Looks like he's taking a turn for the better!

Most treatments for hexima are metronidazole based, it takes care of a range of smaller parasite types very effectively, and I recently found out treats certain internal bacterial infections as well. It's also VERY permiable, so it gets into an infected fish very effectively added just to the water. It's so well absorbed it even crosses the blood/brain barrier in humans rapidly, and it's a LOT more trouble to get through than a fish's gills, which is good news when a fish isn't eating a lot.

Hey Nick

I just got the stuff and it's called Hexamita and it's made by Esha, it say's it's a Discus and Cichlids treatment but can be used for other Tropical fish

I also got some Epsom Salt and I want to treat both Bollo's tank and the main tank with both the Epsom Salt and Hexamita. Is it ok to treat the main tank with the epsom salt?

I just about to do it now so any help asap would be great

Here's the stuff I bought today I've added it to Bollos tank and the main tank as Naboo seems a bit sluggish, I fed Naboo 2 prawns and the 3rd he left, was strange because he wasn't as excited as usual when I give him food (please don't be coming down with the same thing!)

I think I'm going to start feeding Bollo twice a day as he was desperatley gobbling down the food, he had a hard time swallowing it at first and was knida throwing his head back to swallow but then coughing them back up! once he got a few down though he seemed ok. He's moving a lot more but I can tell he's still very weak, he's still skooting round on his belly.

Here's a couple of vids of him eatting then looking a bit fatter, he's such a wally sometimes, the tank has a piece of acrylic stuck to the bottom as it came with the Mantis Shrimp. Rather than going for the big pile of bloodworms Bollo trys to get the ones that have got stuck under the acrylic

He does look fatter! He's still so thin, poor baby! You've done a great job getting him through this. It looks like he'll do just fine!

A good vitamin suppliment is the 'vitazin' by waterlife. Ive used it before with stingrays when theyve come in a little underweight. Ive added it to food as most freshwater fish dont drink as its more a marine suppliment. Although with rays i just added it straight to the tank as they can drink.

I hope he gets better soon! Poor little guy. At least he has the best care he can get, which I'm sure, definitely helps. Keep us updated!

My lfs sells bloodworms that already have nutrients added to them, maybe yours does too. That might save you the effort of having to do it yourself?
