wow!

that's great!

tanks do big you can't even see the puffs in it from the big photo... well i can't!

Their bellies are totally different to my ones, he doesn't get the lined markings when his belly goes dark, it's just solid....

beautiful puffs. :-D

They have such colourful little bellies! Mine are both completely white with no spots on their stomach. Pickles DID have a cool pattern on his tummy, but that disappeared after I brought him home. ^_^

Thanks for the compliments. :)

Stormy, the plants are siliconed into holes in PVC pipes, which are siliconed onto granite pieces. And yes, they just sit on top of the sand.

I honestly don't remember if they were even in the tank yet when we took the whole tank shot. But if they don't want to be found, they won't be seen anywhere, tons of place for them to dart off to.

Yeah, they get sort of varying degrees of dark belly. Sometimes it'll just be this tiny little light brown patch of lines right by their bum. When the bigger one gets this, we know she's about to poo. And other times, it'll go completely black or completely white. Not really sure what it's dependent on, but it switches back and forth enough and at seemingly random intervals that we've stopped worrying about it.

When we first brought them home, the smaller one darted straight into the pirate ship on the left of the tank (back then they were in a smaller tank). Now, he can just barely squeeze in if he really wanted to. Ah, memories.

Sorry about hijacking your thread, btw, t1gerbee. We should start a thread called ceylon owners unite or something

definitely!!!

know they're similar to GSP but i like to think they're superior! ;-)

Or at least a little more unique.

Nice to just have a random rambling thread about our dear ceylons.

Well, they're definitely more rare, and get bigger. I'm hoping ours will reach the 8" without tail, but they were kept in really tiny/bad tanks for a few months when they were little, so they might be stunted :( But here's to hoping! They have already grown about an inch in a year so maybe...:D
