ohhhh ok.. you weren't supposed to today, but that is ok. We'll just go 1 day over time.

Do your regular water change tonight before bed. Do a water change tomorrow MORNING and don't feed him tomorrow :)

don't worry he will at some time.

Can you get a picture of the tank and the ghost house for us? I have a feeling you may have to "fix" that house just a little bit.

any recommendations on a trade for a 10 gallon tank?

I'm not buying that ;) Their care is very similar. Only the food and water current is different really.

Trust me, with us behind you you can kick that chain of bad luck right out the door.

ok... this is going to be a long post.

A member here wrote an article on small tanks. This article is on another site but very helpful:
http://www.wetwebmedia.com/ca/volume_5/ ... ocking.htm

10 Gal stocking: pick one KIND of fish, but you you can have more than one in a tank.. here we go:
Neon tetras, Paracheirodon innesi
Image

Cardinal tetras, Paracheirodon axelrodi
Image

Glowlight tetra, Hemigrammus erythrozonus
Image

Golden (or Beckford’s) Pencilfish, Nannostomus beckfordi ** you can keep these with other fish**
Image

Galaxy rasbora, Celestichthys margaritatus **likes cooler water and is new to the hobby**
Image

Kuhli loach, Pangio spp **keep in groups of 5 or more with a tight tank lid**
Image

Whiptail catfish, Hemiloricaria spp
Image

Sparkling gourami, Trichopsis pumila
Image

Chameleonfish, Badis and Dario spp ** not an easy fish to keep, need live or frozen foods**
Image

Shell dwellers, Neolamprologus spp **Dwarf cichlid needs very good water quality**
Image

Peacock goby, Tateurndina ocellicauda
Image

Algae shrimps, Caridina and Neocaridina
cherry shrimp

Don't forget about serpae tetras. They are fairly hardy and a pretty fish to look at.
