Got a few quick photos of the corals that came in today. I ordered them a week or so ago but delayed the shipping so I wouldn't have to worry about work.
Torch
Frogspawn
Unhappy Toadstool
Ricordeas

About to be unhappy if that Turbo backs up
Got a few blue mushrooms but couldn't really get a picture of them. Also, I'll be gluing the recordia to the rock, around the others, I just ran out of glue. Probably going to wait a bit before I attach the torch, frogspawn or toadstool since I may be moving up tanks Saturday.
Not a great photo, but puffer decided to check out the cave

For now, I'm certainly worried for mine if yours don't make it.
Edit: Working on resizing, don't know what happened there.
Think I go it now.

Size is good. Nice stuff you've got there! Where are you buying your glue from?

Looks good. If I decide to bother with any of this with my GSP's I will do it whenever I get around to upgrading.

I can't believe you didn't go gaga over those Dendro/Rhizo pics!

Thanks! Lets hope these euphyllia do better than the hammer. The last polyp on it died as well a few days back. Ugh, no idea why and I really liked that piece. If this torch and frogspawn make it I'll get another hammer later on.
I had mainly been getting it at Walmart since I usually need to head up there for something anyway. I've been using the Loctite superglue gel, haven't seen any other superglue gels. I went to Krogers this evening though for groceries and they had the Loctite as well, can't say for sure but I'd say Walmart was cheaper. Just wanted to go ahead and get some so I could glue tomorrow, hopefully.
The first time I submitted they were still huge, don't know why since I resized. After I refreshed everything they sized to where they should be. Photobucket and I do not always get along.

Thanks! Haven't tried any corals yet with your GSPs? I hope my puffer doesn't decide to eat or pick at them!
Pufferpunk wrote:I can't believe you didn't go gaga over those Dendro/Rhizo pics!

I did see the picture but got distracted from commenting.
It is a very nice looking Dendro! It's so neat to see them eat.
I read a little about them when reading up on the suncoral.
They're supposed to stay open more aren't they? And are usually more expensive per head/polyp?
If the suncoral makes it then I'd like to try a Dendro.
Pufferpunk wrote:Try Dendros next, they are a lot larger polyp. I just bought myself a Rhizo. They are like 1 giant polyp! It is not illegal to collect these or bring them into the country, so there are only a few left around to buy.
Also, did you mean to say legal?

You've got some great corals! Boy, if I couldn't afford rent, and my dad was letting me stay at his place, he'd be pretty angry at me for spending so much money on corals. I'm still worried about you adding a larger tank to a mobile home without support underneath. Be careful! What a major catastrophe that would be!

3 tubes/$1 at the $ store.

Right, it is ILLEGAL to collect them or bring into the country now but they are still legal to sell.

PufferMe! wrote:Try to get some LR off someone on CL with an established tank. I've got all my LR that way, and I can't tell you how many critters I have.

Now have mysis shrimp in my refugium. I didn't know what they were, but saw them in a shrimp tank at my local reef/fish shop, and he told me they are mysis in his tank, and what I have are identical. The downside with established LR is you may likely get aiptasia (spelling?). I have lots popping up, and picked up a couple peppermint shrimp to help get rid of it. At first I thought it was "pretty" but it's pretty much growing all over, and I hear it can take over a tank.
Oh, and yes, I will work on getting some pictures up of my tank

I completely skipped over this post before, sorry about that.
I hadn't been able to find any live rock on craiglist but the guy with this 90g does have some for sale. His wife just emailed me a picture a little bit ago of it. It looks very dense to me though, I think I'm going to skip on it and just get some more dry rock from Macrorocks.
Thankfully no aiptasia in my tank yet. I have heard that it spreads quickly and can sting corals and such. I do have two peppermint shrimp though, just because I guess. So far they haven't became food. Hopefully yours will take care of your aiptasia.

Thank you!
I didn't say I couldn't afford rent. I didn't expect it to come across like that. When I first moved out of my parents house I lived at a few locations paying rent before moving in here. It does allow me to save and hopefully have a decent amount to put towards a house in the next year or so. I take care of the lot rent so its not any expense to him, he got tired of dealing with renters. I didn't ask him, he offered to let me live here, its nothing fancy but it does me just fine. I've also put money into this place as well; replacing flooring, fixtures, painting, etc. I work full time, have since I was 16, the only 'break' I've had was on maternity leave. I'm also finishing college so its not like I'm out blowing all my money and getting a free ride from my parents. The only debts I have are a couple student loans; I do not have credit cards, all my furniture/appliances I've paid for, and my vehicle is paid for. These tanks are the first time I've spent money on something I've wanted like this. Didn't mean to get off topic like that but I didn't much care for the way you said that when you don't know the situation.
Anyway, the weight of the tank worries me as well. I'm going to get my boyfriend to add support in some way, either cinder blocks or jacks.

I need to stop by the dollar store, its $2 something at Walmart for on tube.

Another thing, I picked up some shell-on shrimp and clams from the grocery store the other day for feeding. They are frozen and I know I need to thaw either before feeding but is there anything I need to do differently from what I'm used to with thawing out the cubed mysis and such?
I've never dealt with either and haven't exactly opened either to get any idea the size of the shrimp or anything. I'm assuming its a larger piece than what I'd need to feed though.
As of now its set for that guy to be bringing by the tank and everything tomorrow. I'm going to skip on the live rock though, it just looks so dense in the photo. I'll just get some more rock from Macrorocks. I think its just over $100 for 50lbs shipped.
My sister is coming over in the morning to pick up my daughter and will be here when the tank is being dropped off as well. My boyfriend has to work and this way I won't be alone. I think it kinda freaks my sister out cause she said something about having a taser

Guess you can't me too careful. It looks like I'll be here by myself though for the actual work of getting things switched over. I'm excited but equally nervous as well. I think I have everything I need, besides sand, going to pick some up in the morning.
I picked up a 32g Brute trashcan, with dolly, and the RO/DI is making as I type. I already have about 15-20 mixed and ready plus about 8 more gallons of RO/DI that has not been mixed or anything yet. I picked up two 20g tubs and an extra heater, that give me three I believe plus the one in the tank. I picked up clamps and hose as well. I don't think I'm missing anything...

If this was directed at my post don't get me wrong those specimens look amazing.

I am just afraid my GSP's might view them as a tasty looking snack with a neon sign saying "Eat Me". lol

No for the same reason as stated above. They taste anything that moves, falls into the tank, or appears colorful. (they even eat veggies)

Ah, yes the fun of comments over the internet. I'm sorry if you felt I was trying to offend you GSP Fan, that wasn't my intention. I think I have my own guilt about spending so much money, lol! I agree though when you love something, it's good to follow that, and it is a good hobby, with lots of learn, enjoy etc.
My husband said that there is no risk of a large tank in a mobile home, as even if it's not on a foundation (which they aren't, that's why their called a "mobile" home

The floor sits on steel braces, or something like that. So, from him, there are no worries about this.

Is your husband in the construction trade? Mine is & we have 2 jacks supporting every tank 90+ gallons, even if it's on an outside wall of our brick home.

I'd like to try feeding either the shell-on shrimp or clams I bought at the grocery store today. I've dealt with feeding frozen cubed food but thats it. Any tips or input on what I'd have to do differently?
My puffer seems to be picky when it comes to eating.

Haha, understood. That would definitely make me weary of adding any corals too.
So far my puffer has been pretty laid back. She's been investigating the rock more lately but I haven't even seen her pick at much of anything, like the rock. Besides some hermit and snail shells the other day, she didn't do any harm though. The cave I took a photo of her in is actually where the two peppermint shrimp hang out and I could see them in there the night she went in the cave. She didn't try to go after them or anything though.

Oh don't get me wrong, I always feel guilty when I spend any larger amount of money on myself. Most money I would spend wouldn't be directly for something for me, like for stuff around the house or something and these tanks are by far the most I've ever put into anything for myself.
Just doing a Google search I keep getting conflicting information on the support and weight a mobile home can hold. I know it'd depend on the home itself, the year and manufacturer for sure. I do want to do something about support, I'd rather be safe than sorry.

So...the 90g is here!!
Few quick pictures. The tank is not in its final spot yet, believe it will be going where the 60g is so that is definitely a work in progress.

The guy was very nice and helpful with everything. He got it set up in terms of the plumbing and talked me through it as well.
I picked up 40lbs of sand today from my LFS. I did realize last night I need to do something about a background while I'm able to actually get to the back of the tank easily. I think I'm just going to do black.
I've got RO/DI still making into a 32g Brute trashcan, almost full, and have some other water ready as well. I've got a couple tubs and buckets for holding water, fish, corals, rocks, etc that will be coming out of the 60g. I also picked up an extra heater last night so I think I'm set there.
The only thing that is really holding me back right now is getting the support taken care of, just in case. I'm hoping it can be done today so that I can fill the tank tonight and let it run, checking for leaks and all.
If I was to do that, today or whenever, and the 90g is going where the 60g is currently sitting, would it be an issue to have the fish/corals in tubs like overnight? That way I can get the 60g emptied, the 90g it its place, fill with the tap water, run overnight, then moved all that was in the 60g into the 90g so long as there are no issues.
Also, if any issues are seen or even any questions about the plumbing definitely speak up. Feel a little bit better actually seeing this in person but without seeing it running I'm still not quite sure what to expect.
Edit: Forgot, I got the live rock as well, 80lbs for $100.
