Hi Adrian,
Have you tried Nana Plants.
If you have and they too melt away then it seems that it would be hard to find any other live plants that would survive. Java Ferns are also known to be found in some mangrove estuaries too. You can try those.
Btw, which part of the globe are you from?

hi,
the only plants that are available in shops (and that i know) that can grow in high end bracksi water is the cryptocoryne cilliata. others like java fern can only live in low salinities.

I am from singapore. I gave the 2 puffers away as I pre fer low-end brackish tanks as the high salt keeps killing my plants over a few days.

Here are some of the plants I use for waters 1.005-1.010
Algae balls - Cladophora aegagrophila - Marimo balls
Banana plant - Nymphoides aquatica
Cryptocoryne ciliata - Cryptocoryne ciliata - Ambrosina cilliata
Parrots feather - Myriophyllum aquaticum
Temple plant - Hygrophila corymbosa v. 'Stricta'
Aponogeton crispus - Aponogeton crispus
Crinum natans - Crinum natans
Watersprite - Ceratopteris thalictroides (very tall plant.....3 out of 10 survives and those that do...lasts long...20cm to 1.2m)
Microsword - Lilaeopsis brasiliensis
Cryptocoryne pontederiifolia
Hornwort - Ceratophyllum demersum
Bacopa carolina
Dwarf Sag - Sagittaria subulata
