thanks so much Chris! Hector is one of the most beautiful puffers I have ever seen, and the first pustulatus..I think I've found my next endeavor!

Hey Hoover, is there a reason you used coral substrate? does the pustulatus prefer hard water?

also, just how fast did it grow? if I should be fortunate enough to ever find one, how long could it be kept in a 75g tank before having to get a larger one?

The wholesaler I went to last week is looking like they have them in.They are only an inch long and difficult to be 100% sure but its looking positive.

send them to Canada!! lol

I used the coral gravel because i kept malawi cichlids with him(bad mistake got a taste for them as he aged).The water where i live is as hard as nails anyway.
There was so little information regarding this puffer and gave up trying to find info. Then by accident i stumbled accross the pufferforum trying to obtain info.
I only became aware that this was a rarely imported puffer through posting on this site.Unfortunately nobody has any definitive answers(as far as i am aware) regarding the best water parameters etc...
Rocker I hope you have luck in getting a pustulatus I would be very envious
My 400litre tank is now a reef and theres no more room for another big tank plus reef keeping is very interesting , keeps me on my toes and seems to relieve me of lots of cash

Were you able to obtain one of these guys from that wholesaler you mentioned. If you dont mind me asking what is the name of the wholesaler? Wonder if the ship?
