He looks swollen. Treat with Epsom salt. 1tbsp/10g the 1st day & double that the 2nd day. Has he been pooping?

No sign of any poop since last night, not eaten for 4 days. Why is he going patchy?

I did dose with epsom salts last week, will do again now. Is there anything I can do for him?

what test kit do you use? If its a liquid test you can be more certain that your tap water is showing higher nitrate. See if the water board has any answer for this, you should be able to email them. I'm sure that is not the cause of your puffer's illness but if you are struggling to reduce the levels in the tank tap water is not gonna help at the mo.

I would definately dose with the salts again and maybe get some Flubenol, can't think of much else sorry. When Clooney was very ill I kept doing water changes every day and used the scientific method of keeping my fingers crossed he would pull through!!!

Test kit is API master, tap water has got worse in the last two weeks, have flubenol so will dose now.

Tap water nitrates vary throughout the year and your water supplier. It's just something we have to deal with.

I think you need to go woth the treatments and perform a water change every 2 days
