bro..what vitamin u using? got use garlic guard?

I'm using Sera fishtamin.

And after some time, I've got a new problem.
I don't know if this is a problem at all... But this puffer is real grumpy...

It attacks anything and everything. Can be my finger, its reflection, the turtle in another tank, etc.
And sometimes when it gets real angry, it puffs up.

Above are 2 videos of the puffer puffing. Sometimes it can puff and deflate for up to 10 mins. Sometimes it doesn't do it for a couple of days. I've also noticed that it usually puffs and gets angry on the 2nd to 3rd day of "non-feeding days".

Is all this alright? I've read that puffers only puff themselves when they are really stressed.

Sometimes they puff for no apparent reason, too.

It looks like he's seeing his own reflection on the glass, and thinks it's another puffer. And that could most definitely piss him off. Is the background blue as it seems in the picture? I know that light colors can give more reflection for the fish than dark. But I don't think blue would give too much reflection.
And, yes, they can puff when they are angry too.

BTW, have you made any changes to the tank lately? My Hufflepuff can easily gets really grumpy when things changes. At that point I would keep my fingers far away from him! He has tried to bite me through the glass. He also gets grumpy if I feed him something he doesn't think is food. And he tried to bite his way out of the plastic bag when I bought him. Besides being the biggest puffer I have, he is also the most aggressive.

Yeah... I added the blue background just a few days back. And added the red substrate too. I can see a faint reflection on the blue background.

But it doesn't puff when it's feeding day.

There seems to be quite a bit of anecdotal evidence suggesting that puffers can see colors and one of the colors they object to most strenuously is the color red. Perhaps he doesn't appreciate the red substrate that has been added.

Thats one psycho baileyi! I'm lucky if I see mine move apart from breathing after 10am. Seems to beg until then, and after that goes under his plants and sleeps. Maybe its that his tank is fairly bare?

Doesn't Pufferpunk keep her miurus with red substrate? Wonder if she's noticed anything.........

Dunno, but I think its a personal thing. None of my other puffers care what color I wear, but if I go anywhere near my GSP's tank wearing pink, he goes ballistic.

Yeah... I've to agree that his tank is really bare. I'm not doing a planted tank cos they live in a rocky environment. Maybe just a couple of hardy plants like java ferns.

I'm still thinking and planning on the scaping of the tank.

Mine goes crazy seeing anything. Maybe it's just hungry and that makes it angry.

Yup, I rarely see mine unless they are begging for food. They are always hiding in the foliage or, in Lil's case, inside the branch of an artificial driftwood, her favorite hidey hole. IMO, a very heavily decorated tank is vital for their well-being and happiness.
