looks good. I'll have to check it out when I'm at the store next time. seems worth it.

It shouldn't be a big problem sucking in a bit of air, but try to keep the water level constant as much as you can by toping off the tank when you notice it's gone down due to evaporation.

The dirtiest water is the surface, so it's probably a good thing that a majority of the water is coming from there.

Well, the skimmer part floats at the surface at the right height.

e.g. If water level drops, skimmer drops with it. It raises, skimmer automatically raises. The plastic top floats.

And also, about the air thing, hasn't happened since. :)

Wow, this thing really was a worthwhile investment. I got it for $15 and it seems to be helping A LOT. Before, not only could you see the bio film on top, but you could feel the slime when touched. Also, notice the difference in ripples from the Before and After videos. It ripples, and I'm assuming, flows a lot better on the surface now.

So, in essence, very happy with this product. :38:
