Yes, Krylon high gloss is what I tested with. I have used it in FW tanks before with no ill effects. I have read many posts where folks have used it to paint plumbing in SW and reef tanks but I have not tried that myself yet.

Good luck. Let the paint cure for at least a few days and rinse it well, then seal with the silicone and add the decor.

After much delay and leakage repairs I finally got it done. all I need to do is finish the decor. Here are some pics of how it looks now.

Thanks, it wanst to hard and would have been easier if I had something to cut the plexi glass with besides a hand tool. Just a lot of waiting for things to dry.

Cutting plexi with a handsaw? Ouch! That doesn't sound like fun. It's hard enough with power tools!

No it wasn't a hand saw, it was a hand held cutter which you score the plexi with until its weak enough to break off. Scoring makes this horrible high pitched noise.

Ah... Not as hard to do but sometimes leaves some pretty ragged edges.

yea, sanding them down helps.
