He must have been looking for us while we were gone- haha. Last time we left for a couple days he was in the overflow chamber.

I did read the IP article in the library and may have missed this but how long of a treatment is recommended? Should fish be treated until they no longer show symptoms? Or is it recommended to treat a few days and then give the fish a break for a few days?

My problem is that he never eats enough of the medicated food. So I have always offered non medicated foods after he has picked at the medicated food.

He looks pretty good today. I think I will keep him off the meds for a few days and see if he fattens up. If not then I will only offer medicated foods for 3-5 days.

I decided to continue with the meds. The last three days he has only eaten medicated foods and has had a great appetite.

Good. The appetite seems to be improving. My one after a year eating everything except cockles ate eight of them last night. Since meds he's having a really noticeable growth spurt. Hopefully yours will be the same

His appetite has been great. He ate medicated meals 4 days in a row. And since then has been looking good between meals. Thanks for everyone's help.

Since being off the meds he has not grown much at all. He can't be longer than 2". His belly is not sunken between meals, but flattens out. It is hard to tell if after a meal his stomach is bumpy, because he is so small and I am not sure exactly what it is supposed to look like.
I did notice a poo that was stringy. It had a regular looking lump connected to another lump by a very thin clear "string"....

I have treated him with seachem Metroplex and API bacteria (or something similar) which contains metronidazole and praziquantel...

I just bought some prazipro to try... I can also get levamisole. But it is expensive!

I am going to try the Prazipro and if needed I will look harder for jungle parasite clear.

I was away for three days and his belly is not sunken at all, just flat...
