Good thing you didn't--it probably died soon after, of fatty liver disease. I had one that only lasted 6 weeks.

That is sad, they didn't have frozen food or live worms to feed it?

Easier to just toss a feeder in.

You could just toss the worms in

My decision is made. I ordered a hairy puffer.

Im happy with the decision, now for a serious question... If I add Rogaine to the water, does it increase hair growth in a hairy puffer?

Just joking!

After all the reading and watching youtube videos, I really had it narrowed down to the Hairy or Arrowhead. The hairy just seemed a bit more interesting and it was available. The arrowhead just was not in any stores at the moment and I wanted my puffer. Ive only been debating this for a year. LOL
Now how do I make time go faster? Thursday is taking forever to get here!

Thursday? Exciting! And ignore my post on your other thread, although I still want to know what you're going to call him

I have no idea what to name him.... I may have to watch the little guy for a bit and see what his personality is like first. If all else fails... "Hairy" (Harry)

Here is the future puffer tank. Excuse the mess, I have a Red Isletas in there until the hairy puffer comes in, and apparently he did not like my decor so he moved it all around.

It could use more decor. that's going to be pretty open for a hairy isn't it?

It's about the same as I have in Piggy's tank, although I think it could do with an actual cave for him to get right into. Pig spends a lot of his time in his cave, and sleeps in it every night. He is also very fond of the marimo balls in his tank, he likes to nudge them about and rearrange them. I've not seen him sleeping on them though, like Spud did.

The two pieces of driftwood do have some cave-like structure to them so there are some hiding places. I did not fully do the tank yet because I have to catch the cichlid and get him moved out tonight and then I will be ready for the puffer tomorrow. I have a feeling there will be lots of decor changes until I get the right set up for 'hairy'.
