Ghost shrimp are breedable, but require at least 2 tanks and really are cheaper to buy and condition than to breed.

Thanks, ya'll have been a godsend to my fish with your advice. I finally have the nitrate down to 5ppm and hopefully it will keep going down. I will just breed snails in the 10 gallon and buy ghost shrimp for a treat now and then since the snails are essential to the puffer's diet. When I get my 75 gallon tank should I set it up as full marine or brackish first? My fish are still in freshwater for now, but I plan on adding some salt on the next waterchange. Also should I put up the extra coin for reef ready tank or will a standard tank suffice?

Yea why not, saves the transition needing to be done whilst the fish is in there. You can drip acclimate the fish in a few hours

+1 to bertie's comment. It really simplifies you life to set up as FOWLR + skimmer + macroalgae refugium initially instead of having to change over from FW/BW filtration processes.
