I'm treating a 50 gallon tank (I'm figuring 45g of water)
I'm raising the temp from 75 degrees to 85 degrees
how gradually should that be done (or just "crank it up")?
is there a rule of thumb?
tank has clown loaches, head & taillight tetras, a plec, and 4 small corys
clowns are the only ones showing symptoms (so far)
should I add the salt all at once, or is there some sort of schedule?
I haven't seen ich in decades, in years past I have used the chemical "remedies"
I'd rather go the heat/salt method at this point
am I missing anything?

The heater will take it up slowly enough not to stress the fish! I add the salt to my HOB filter, by the tbsp.

It does not matter at all. The concentrations are so tiny that any live fish would have been pickled in brine long before toxicity levels were reached.
