BTW, many but not all suckermouth catfish have an absolute requirement for wood in their diet. Their unique gut bugs will not survive without it, and they rely on those bugs to balance their nutrition. Fish which should live for decades are as short-lived as are many Tetras in mixed tanks.

Thanks for the help, but she's having trouble atm, I've posted a thread in the Hospital section but have got no replies.

She was fine yesterday and ate some blood worm, she was also fine this morning however, at around 11:30 she turned very dark and became very subdued, she's now at the bottom in the corner breathing heavily.

I rang up the LFS where I bought her from (They'd done a water test before I bought her) and they said it was normal for the first few days. Can someone verify this for me?

Just a quick update on Copper, She has Ich, I'm going through RTR's cure atm (I've increased the Temp to 83F, added the correct amount of dissolved salt and put an extra air pump in there) She's moving around now but still doesn't want to eat, tomorrow if all goes well I'll add another lot of salt (Half the original amount)

I've also bought a better heater (Cost £30..) Some decorations and a net (Cost £16) So far I've spent well over £150

Glad to hear Copper is up and about again! Since your catching the ich early she should recover quickly, best of luck with her!

She's moving about much more now and there doesn't seem to be any white spots on her (I'll continue with the treatment anyway, I've added the rest of the dissolved salt now), she has her colour back as well, However she still refuses to eat bloodworm, I even put it right in front of her.

Do you think I should try feeding her something else? And if so, what?

They appreciate a varied diet some other stuff you could tempt her with are mysis / brine shrimp tubifex worms, they also enjoy hunting snails if you throw some in you can probably watch her hunt. Thats good about her activity and ich spots! sounds like she will be up and about soon
