As long as you only add FW (preferably, RODI) for top-off, you are fine. I top-off my reef tanks, daily.
Most folks don't use wet/dry filtration anymore. A good protein skimmer, lots of LR & good flow, is all you should need. How are you cycling the 75g? How much LR is in there?
For the 30g, you can add Safestart to the filter, after doing an 80% WC.
