You need to be careful with clove oil it is used to euthenase fish, ms222 is far safer but not risk free

Good job, you should never remove a conscious puffer from water though.

It's not something you're going to be able to control in there. Just keep the SG at 1.005 & they'll be fine.

Stable water is much more important than tweeking trying to match their wild water perfectly.

No, different water needed, also fluviatilis (sp?) also get bigger and meaner than f8s
