I have but I wouldn't be able to get a storage tank larger than 5 gallons, so I don't think it's worth it right now. Water isn't too bad, $20 for 160 gallons, and I always get extra to keep it with me just in case something does happen. It's the best I can do right now

LoL, I keep it in 5 gallon buckets. I always try to make sure that I keep some water on hand just in case. I usually try to keep it topped off to keep the SG levels stable

So, the skimmer has been set up for a while, and.....it's not foaming. I am not getting lots of foam at all and I am not sure why. I have kept my hands out of the tank, and I get dirty water (only a tiny bit) in the collection cups, but no foam = / anyone know why this is??

I have never had bubbles/foam climb the tubes = / it get's sort of up the opening, but never actually foaming up so high that it drops over and into the cup. Maybe I put the skimmer on too soon?

Dumb question, sorry. But it looks like I am going to set up a sump refugium for the 60 gallon-- hopefully things will be better that way in the long run. Is it possible to use the HOB bak pak with a sump refugium even though it won't sit inside of it? Planning on doing lots of upgrades soon, and this is one on my list ^.^

no wonder I'm having so much trouble with my new skimmer :/ I had no idea there were separate FW and SW melafix's.

besides the bubbles is there any difference in how the medicine will work? FW melafix won't be ineffective in SW will it?

Skimmer + FW Melafix = overflowing foam everywhere. SW Melafix works the sane but no foaming.
