Thank you! I am hoping to get some soon once I find a tank big enough for my fahaka!
happy to help. :D and yeah a big enough fahaka tank......... almost an oxymoron!

Yeah! I feel yah! I don't know if you have read my other posts but I had a 225 lined up but the seals wouldn't stick for some reason... so pretty much I am SOL when it comes to a tank that big for the moment! I don't want the bare minimum for him I want THE BEST! lol Its hard to find a tank of that size with out paying 2 grand for it

Hey, on that 225 that you're having trouble resealing, I just had to reseal a tank, what is the process you carried out and what brand of silicon are you using?

I didn't do it. There is a 2nd hand reef store here Phoenix and they were selling the tank to me after they finished it. For the whole set up and everything they were asking 560. But idk what they used and stuff. But the guy who works for them was doing it and he makes his own tanks and he came to the conclusion that the glass was warped or something along those lines.
I wish I knew so I could tell you.

It does seem strange that a reef store couldn't get a seal to hold several times in a row.

Ah, that sucks.
It took a couple touch ups to get the tank we worked on water tight. I'm kind of sad though because we drove a long way at night, we didn't notice it was scratched up until we got it home. It was really cheap though.
The sides and back are ridiculous, but even the front panel is pretty scratched. It'll have to do for now though.

Yeah well I didn't wanna take a risk of sealing it myself being that I am inexperienced. I am looking at trading a 150gal for some work on a car so I hope thatll work out. I have been on CL looking and nothing. The average is 90gal on CL thats about the biggest I can find besides the 670 gal that I found! lol

Oh wow, a 670 gallon would be AWESOME! Just curious, how much do they want for it?
