i sincerely hope this show is one of those things that will go away if it doesn't get the attention that it needs to keep going

i got bored one day and streamed all the episodes.... they do a lot of weird things that i dont think are correct. they are always rushing to get the water in the tank and get the fish in it. obviously this is staged for drama and in reality they probably have the water cycled and set up and put the fish in in a less frantic matter, but why the hell would animal planet get people interested in getting fish tanks with a show and the show does not in any way show how to properly set a tank up (actually quite the opposite). i still like seeing all of the colorful saltwater species whenever i can but id never watch it on t.v. and create revenue.

I think there is alot of behind the scenes stuff we never see ! Its just like all the other reality shows they film for months to make a few episodes . So they are not gonna show you that it takes a few hrs to acclimate the fish . They do give info on the fish during the show . It may bring in more people into the hobby! It also seems there clients are rich folks , who probably pay them or someone else to take care of the tanks . The article says the average client pays $15,000-$20,000 for a tank.

and that is for a small tank :/

The best part of the show is watching those guys and then thinking. "I can do that" .. LOL!! Not the "I can do that" about being an idiot.. we all can do THAT.. but about the builds.

Also, fish tank you can skateboard on. Wouldn't that fall under the "don't tap the glass" rule?
