Yes, the malachite green meds have been put sfely away in the cupboard and will not be used.

The remaining five puffers all ate well last night - I watched them to make sure they all ate rather than just played with the food (always entertaining when you have a DP attached to each end of bloodworm!), and they all had nice rounded tummys afterwards. I think I am just a bit paranoid at the moment.

If anyone in the UK point me in the right direction for suitable meds then I would be grateful.

I am also interested to find out what's available however if needed could we not pay our American friends to ship us some as it seems impossible to get here?

Out of interest....how often do you guys feed your DPs? We normally give ours some kind of frozen food once every two days - usually a large bloodworm each or the equivalent in other frozen food. Is this often enough or should we really be feeding every day?

That sounds more than reasonable. Once again this is why this forum is so great. Do these meds have a shelf life as may get some incase my next puffer friend has ips lol

i dont really know. all ive ever ordered online was geltek for internal parasites a few years ago. it says expires 1012 which im guessing is october of 2012... and ive hardly used it. over 3 ounces left in a 4 ounce bottle lol i highly doubt ill use any more of it before it expires

Cool may well be in touch hadia. Re feeding every other day is fine as long as they maintaining round tummys, if looking a little skinny 2 days food 1 day off

I think a small, active fish should be fed daily, skipping 1 day/week.

Of the five remaining DPs two of them seem generally to be a little less rotund than the others. Not in an unhealthy, skinny-looking way, but just a little slimmer. I paid more attention at the feeding time today and they all attempted to stuff themselves on the food available to them. I did notice that the two slimmers ones were harder to get the food to though because it kept getting snapped up by the porky ones, who I don't want to overfeed. If the problem continues then I shall try the isolation method of feeding that some of you guys mentioned. Do you just keep them in the breeder box long enough for the few minutes it takes to feed them?

I think we've been quite lucky as we can get our guys to take most kinds of frozen food that we offer them now. The only frozen food I've found that they won't eat is some kind of white wormy-looking stuff (I don't know what it is, its part of a quintet pack we have which doesn't actually tell me what is in it). The occupants of our two community tanks also turn their noses up at this stuff though so I'm guessing its not particularly appetising from a fishy point of view.
