I think the third has happened. Got hit in the eye yesterday with a tent pole when I was moving stuff in the closet. Hurts like hell. I just dropped 3200 on my eyes at the end of oct for lasik haha

When you get ready to start that 20L again figure starting with a budget of $500 (minimum) and consider yourself lucky if it comes in under $1000 when finished.

Wait... what's the $1000 expense for? Remember that I just set up my 36g as SW and I don't think I spent over $500.
Also, Xrayjeeper, do you have a 20g or a 20L? I saw references to both sizes in this thread.

I will agree with John about SW being expensive. That's one reason I had to do away with SW all together. I do still have my old LR well makes good base rock now and also the skimmers. Buy little at a time is how I done it. But still buying the salt and salt for the WC's get really expensive.

If I remember correctly you set up a FOWLR. Big difference once you go reef. I've spent close to $300 on clean up crew, a couple of fish and a few corals and I'm just getting started. Plus lighting will be a huge expense for him. I've recently past the $1200 point on my 28 gallon NanoCube. I've always heard be prepared for it to go as high as $50 a gallon on smaller tanks but I never believed it, now I do.
