I am however re-trying garlic guard.. squid and mussel, and an earthworm soaking in the vegetable crisper.
(Thank God I only eat frozen vegetables)

garlic guard is a processed product... not nearly as effective as preparing your own

I dont have a blender so I will update on whether he eats or not

You could use a garlic press... they are easy to find at grocery stores down here.

Yeah, he didn't eat it so I'm going to have to try the garlic press tomorrow.

I already started pimafix, he stopped moving for a bit like it shook him when i dosed the tank,
but then is back to normal again.

The worm is still in the process of coming out.

I'm going to have to do whatever it takes to get this puffer better!
I already had to tell two people who's interested in him that they had to wait.

The scary thing here is, I have to go away this upcoming weekend for a week straight,
and the people I have around me are a little too free-spirited..

He didn't eat it.

He passed his 4th worm this morning.

I went out and got more Melafix and aquarium salt.
I dosed the parasite clear tabs earlier today,

I just added salt, Melafix and Pimafix.

He is being very active.

Passing the 5th worm since treatment as I type this.

Temperature is raised to 84 to increase the effectiveness of salt.

His eyes are very dark at the moment.

It's just heart breaking to realize that as soon I he gets better, I have to rehome him.

Passing the 8th worm at the moment.
Eyes clearing up slowly

Ammonia and Nitrate spike, not sure what caused this.

I did a 50% WC yesterday prior to pimafix and melafix, and added appropriate amount of salt back into the tank after.
Currently using prime.

There is still a trace of Ammonia, Nitrate back to normal.
Will do another WC.

Yea, he's getting better! Great job you're doing with him.

too bad the garlic didn't work ... it sounds like he is on the mend.

It is unfortunate they don't have fish tank suitcases to take him with you

Quick update,

The puffer was cleared of his illnesses and went to someone with a bigger tank and better knowledge.

I'm definitely not done with the Fahaka keeping, so I'll be back.
