What a gorgeous belly he has :)
It is absurd to talk of one animal being higher than another. We consider those, when the cerebral structure/intellectual faculties most developed, as highest. A bee doubtless would when the instincts were.

Does he have a cave?

He has a large PVC tube (3" diameter/5" long), and I have seen him in that, but he seems to spend most of his time behind a plant in the back corner. :)

Curse my wretched job and all the free time it steals from me :x

Congratulations!
He's adorable! It took my Zeppelin a full month to look that nice after the stress of being at the LFS.
He has some driftwood in his tank that he likes to lounge on and hide under. I'll post some pictures in a new thread.

Thank you omplmpa3. I'm surprised how friendly this turgidus is. My other ones were always hidden and would not come out. This guy comes to the front of the tank if you stop to have a look and he will swim up and down as if he's greeting you. And today I watched him swim all around the tank -- I never got to see my others doing that -- EVER! :nope:

I would love to see pictures of Zeppelin (great name by the way!) :thumb:
