Just for future reference -- when I spray anything in the house, which is rarely, I am very careful because you can't always see where the spray is going to settle. We have dogs and I have to constantly battle the doggy smell, and sometimes spray Febreze .... but I am VERY careful with how I spray it, usually pointed at the carpet, not high in the air. When I clean the glass on my tanks, I actually turn away from the tank, spray the newspaper that I clean the glass with, not the glass itself, that way I know the spray isn't going to get into the tank. And it's other things too ... my husband used to spray his antiperspirant downstairs before going into work, and I've made him take it back upstairs where there aren't any tanks. Anything that is sprayed into the air can get into a tank. I like to use baby powder when it's hot, but I've had to be very careful how and where I apply that to make sure it doesn't get into my tanks. Some things only take a minute to do ... but can cause a catastrophe that's hard to rectify.

Morning Report: She made it through the night! She's swimming around and exploring, but still a little slow and her belly is patchy black. The water is still very murky,slightly less than before though.

I checked my Windex Bottle and it said it is a "Green Product". Nothing about ammonia. Maybe it was something else? On the 24th of last month I used river rocks and aquarium glue to make my own decor. Recently i had noticed the glue not holding so well. Could that have caused something to happen? I took half of it out last night because it toppled over during the 50% water change and removed the other half just now.

I just tested my water:
Ph: 7.8
Nitrite: 0
Nitrate: 0
Ammonia: .25

If you're showing ammonia, keep doing those WC.

Ive got family coming over late today but ill do them every hour or so beforethey get here and then pick it up again after.

I don't think you need to do them that often. 2x/day (unless you see the ammonia/nitrite going up), should be fine. Just keep a close eye on the parameters for the next 2 weeks, it may go through a cycle again. You could try Dr Tim's for this. What is your SG?

very very low. as in not showing up on my hydrometer. i just got the marine salt in the other day and then this happened.i was planning on raising it soon but this kinda got in the way.

Then you should be able to do larger WC.

You either have an issue with uneaten food or some other bioload that is giving you the nitrite spike, or you have damaged the biofilter by the ammonia + detergent use near the tank. the latter seems the more likely.

What is the specific gravity? You should not get much nitrite toxicity with significant NaCl in the water.
