Dual 250w MH 14k. SPS's are eating it up. Leathers are liking it too. Big difference from the PC's i was using.

Is that a 48" tank? Just wondering, because I though one 250 watt on a 36" would be more than enough.

Nope, its a 36" with a support brace in the middle. I know it's overkill but the dual 150w was not available unless i went elsewhere and spent more money. Plus i figure i technically could use it on a 48" tank if i ever upgraded.

You need to acclimate a tank to a new light or everything will go into light shock & bleach. Either put several layers of screening over the light or lift it high above the tank, lowering it a little every week. What kind of bulbs are they?

I've tried to find stuf for screening the light, but that does not work. And lift it above the tank is not an option :(

I can not explain how i did it in englisch.. I will make a pic tonight!

Look for the stuff that you would use to repair a window screen, the type to keep bugs out, cut it into strips the size of your tank, layer on a few layers (I dont think there is a rule of thumb, but check reef central or something), and every few days take another off.

It is very possible to bleach/kill all the corals in your tank, without adjusting it to the stronger light.
