Don't return it! Wal-Mart flushes all returned fish alive! Instead, you could ask some local pet stores if they would like to have it.

I agree that Wal-Mart treats fish terribly, but where's the proof that they flush returned fish? Why not just sell them again?

I'm so sorry for yous loss, that really sucks.

Grrr, the irresponsibility of people really ticks me off. If this person took the puffer out of the tank, couldn't that have killed him too? I read someplace that you never take puffers out of water, that you have to transfer them while still under water as they can die if they puff up on straight oxygen. Is this true?

Hi Brent. Transplanted Newfie here.

Air, not oxygen. A puffer would never encounter pure oxygen. Air can be difficult for them to expel and can be lethal.

I'm not from out east but my family is and I've got family out there. NFLD and Labrador :)
It is absurd to talk of one animal being higher than another. We consider those, when the cerebral structure/intellectual faculties most developed, as highest. A bee doubtless would when the instincts were.

Nope, don't know anyone there, I don't even know where that is on the island. I'm a townie, from St. John's. I don't even know many from there anymore, lol.
