Well I still shouldn't have gotten like that lol. Sorry again though

.
Yea I'll check again. But he didn't even look anything like the normal pleco. I saw him and he had like peach spots where they eyes should be and I though something had eaten his eyes out but when I looked closer, his eyes were actually really small black eyes that weren't in the peach area, but close to it.

SiberianHeart has one. They're the size of an oto and very cute. She said they're actually more efficient, too.

I had one before, and it was really cool, they love to work that gravel .... unfortunately I killed it by using a medication (way back before I knew that such things were bad to use). Our LFS has them now, and I've thought about getting another one, just have to decide where to put it if I do get one.

J-P: haha, you're fine, I think it's best that we changed the topic anyways. Oh, by the way...all of my new fish are doing great!! The pleco still won't come out yet, but they don't usually come out too often during the day so I'm not suprised any.

Dalamation mollies will get up to 5 inches and are brackish fish. I currently have a breeding group (Like that's difficult to achieve, right

) in a 90 gallon tank, both females are close to 5 inches. They do best in a mid brackish tank but I keep mine at 1.015 and they have never done better. I've kept them in both FW and BW and when they are kept in FW they don't get as big but their lifespan seems to be a little shorter too.
Just a little insight from a guy who's raised them for 25 years, they were one of the first fish I ever had and the ones I have now are direct descendants of my original pair...

Dadof4: What the heck!!! Why couldn't someone at the LFS tell me that they were brackish fish? I did not want anymore brackish fish at the moment. I'm so irritated. I never knew they were brackish and I, as well, have had them before. Maybe that's why I never seen them get anymore than 3-4 in, because I've always kept them in FW. Now I know. What should I do now? Take them back, or just keep them in the FW?? Please tell me that angelfish, and gouramis are not BW. Even though I've also taken care of both, over the years, I'd still like to know, because I didn't know about the mollies before.

No, those are not BW fish but it's always good fishkeeping practice to research fish you are interested in, before you purchase them. Especially check into preferred water conditions, whether they prefer to be in pairs, schools or singletons & their adult size/recommended minimum tank size.

You can keep them in FW (the mollies) but I don't think they do as well. As adults they are found in brackish river systems but as juveniles they are found in a variety of places but mainly in the upper part of the brackish river area where the SG is lower.
The rest of the fish are FW but really make sure they are compatible in water conditions. Gouramis can be finicky about their water conditions (hardness especially, some gouramis like water hard enough to walk on) and so can angels but they generally like softer water. Therein lies your dilemma. I agree with PufferPunk on the need to research, especially this combination of fish. Check what each species of gouramis and angel you have like, you may have an angel that likes a kH 4 and a gourami that like a kH range of 8-10 or higher....
